Humata tyermanii, also known as Rabbit Foot Fern or Tarantula Fern, is an exotic indoor plant, highly appreciated for its unusual appearance. What makes it special are the thick rhizomes, covered with velvety hairs, brown-silver in color, which spread over the substrate surface and hang over the edge of the pot, resembling the feet of a rabbit or the legs of a tarantula.
The leaves are fine, pinnate, fresh green, forming an airy and elegant crown. The contrast between the foliage and the decorative rhizomes creates a spectacular effect, making it an ideal plant to attract attention in any room.
Family: Davalliaceae
Origin: Tropical Asia and Oceania
Type: epiphytic fern/decorative by leaves and rhizomes
Particularity: creeping, thick rhizomes with velvety hairs growing over the pot
Light: prefers indirect, moderate light; tolerates partial shade
