Full description and specifications

Hoya puber - rare species, endemic to Borneo, Jawa and Sumatera. Although it was discovered in 1827, there are very few correctly identified copies in circulation.

The leaves are small and pubescent, hence the name Hoya puber.

The flowers are small, but impress with their abundance and appearance. They are strongly scented - sweet fragrance - and last up to 6-7 days after opening.

The plant is sensitive to overwatering, especially in the cold season.

Hoya puber has been marketed over time under the names Hoya picta and Hoya aff. paint. It is often confused with Hoya nummularoides.

Synonyms: Hoya picta (incorrect), Hoya pubera (incorrect), Acanthostemma pictum
