Hoya 'Optimistic' is the result of the cross between Hoya 'Ruthie' and Hoya ciliata. Like its parents, it is a fast-growing plant that prefers the sun and a larger pot, with a substrate richer in nutrients.
Each flower measures approximately 4.5 cm in diameter. The reddish flowers have a yellow center and a delicious scent, reminiscent of lemon.
Hoya 'Optimistic' is part of the Eriostemma section. In Romania, flowering of varieties from the Eriostemma section was reported less than 1 year after the purchase of the young plants.
