Hoya krohniana 'Splash' is a cultivar with small, glossy, often heart-shaped foliage covered in silver splashes. The pattern density varies from leaf to leaf and from vine to vine. The species is native to the Philippines and was published in 2009; previously, it circulated as Hoya lacunosa 'Heart Leaf'. Its growth habit is trailing. The small, densely packed leaves create a particularly decorative effect.

Flowers and fragrance. The flowers are star-shaped, finely pubescent, cream-white, and grouped in umbels. The fragrance is strong and most noticeable in the evening, as with Hoya lacunosa. The flowers last for several days. Flowering depends on the plant's maturity and growing conditions.

Identity. The accepted botanical name is Hoya krohniana Kloppenb. & Siar, published in 2009. The species is native to the Philippines. 'Splash' describes the silver splashes on the foliage. It is not Hoya lacunosa, although the flowers and growth habit are similar.

Potting mix: use an airy, well-draining mix suitable for epiphytic species. We recommend the professional potting mix for Hoya and Anthurium - SG Mix.
