Hoya heuschkeliana 'Variegata' is a true variegated cultivar of the species Hoya heuschkeliana, a compact vine from the Philippines. This batch comes from Taiwan; Taiwan is not its native range and does not designate a separate cultivar. The foliage is small, with a creamy-white center and green margins; new growth may emerge pink or red, especially in bright light. The flowers are pink, urn-shaped, and fragrant. The plants supplied are miniature, approximately 7–8 cm tall, including the pot. Flowering depends on the plant's maturity and growing conditions.

Foliage and growth. The leaves of this species are thick, ovate to obovate, and slightly curved. In this selection, the center of the leaf is creamy white, while the margin remains green. New leaves may emerge dark red or pink before developing their pattern. The intensity of the colors and the proportion of variegated areas vary from leaf to leaf. It has a short vining habit, suitable for growing on a support or allowing to trail.

Flowers and fragrance. The flowers are pink, waxy, and urn- or bell-shaped, differing from the star-shaped form of many other Hoya. They are approximately 5 mm across and appear in umbels that may contain up to around 12 flowers. An inflorescence may remain decorative for about a week. The fragrance is most commonly described as having caramel notes; perception may vary. In cultivation, flowering is reported mainly during warm periods. Flowering depends on the plant's maturity and growing conditions.

Botanical identity and origin. Hoya heuschkeliana Kloppenb. is an accepted species, published in 1989, native to the Philippines, where it grows as an epiphytic or lithophytic vine in a humid tropical biome. 'Variegata' designates the selection with variegated foliage.

The decorative pot is not included in the price.

Growing medium: use an airy, well-draining mix suitable for epiphytic species. We recommend the professional growing medium for Hoya and Anthurium - SG Mix.
