Hoya aff. villosa (Cao Bang, Vietnam) is a form within the Hoya villosa / globulosa complex, discovered in the Cao Bang area of Vietnam, in the genus Hoya (family Apocynaceae).
Botanical characteristics:
- Flowers: Up to 13 mm in diameter, star-shaped, cream-colored, slightly woolly, with a cream corona against a red background. Pleasant, light fragrance (some clones may have a stronger or sharper scent).
- Growth habit: Climbing / epiphytic plant with thick, pubescent (woolly), deep green leaves, up to 10 x 6 cm, with pronounced venation that makes them wavy. Vigorous growth.
- Special features: The Vietnamese form is appreciated for its “chonky” leaves and velvety texture. It prefers more moderate temperatures (cool-intermediate).
