Care of Haworthia Superfasciata
Light :
Prefer strong indirect light or filtered sun.
It can tolerate direct morning light, but must be protected from strong afternoon sun, which can burn the leaves.
In an environment with insufficient light, the plant can become etiolated (elongated and deformed).
Soil :
It needs a well-drained soil, recommended for cacti and succulents.
A mixture of all-purpose soil with coarse sand or perlite is ideal to prevent waterlogging.
Watering :
Water the plant only when the soil is completely dry, usually once every 2-3 weeks in the warm season.
Reduce watering in the cold season, once a month or even less often.
Excess water can cause root rot and fungal diseases.
Temperature :
It develops optimally at temperatures between 15°C and 25°C.
Does not tolerate frost; ensure temperatures above 10°C throughout the year.
Humidity :
It prefers an environment with low or moderate humidity.
High humidity can favor the development of fungi and pests.
Fertilization :
Apply a weak fertilizer for cacti and succulents once a month during the growing season (spring and summer).
Avoid excessive fertilization, which can damage the plant.
Replanting :
Replant every 2-3 years or when the plant outgrows the pot.
Use a pot with drainage holes and a fresh substrate.
Propagation :
It is easily propagated by separating the young (small rosettes) that appear at the base of the plant.
The seedlings must be planted in a dry and well-drained substrate.
