Graptopetalum ‘Vega’ is a collectible succulent that looks like a small sculpture: compact rosettes, thick leaves with a powdery appearance, and shades that can range from silver-gray to pale pink/lilac in good light. But the surprise that makes it memorable is its flowering: in season, it can raise slender stems with star-shaped, bright pink-red flowers, a spectacular contrast to the matte rosette.

🌿 Botanical characteristics:

  • Family: Crassulaceae

  • Botanical name: Graptopetalum ‘Vega’

  • Common name (RO): graptopetalum, “rosette” type succulent

  • Leaves: fleshy, oval, with a fine layer of bloom (matte appearance); color varies depending on light and season

  • Growth habit: compact rosette; can produce shoots and new rosettes over time

🌸 Flowers:

  • In the warm season, it can produce thin flower stems with small, star-shaped, pink-red flowers, very decorative. Flowering depends on light, season, and plant maturity, and the color intensity may vary between specimens.

☀️ Growing and care conditions:

  • Light: very bright light; tolerates mild sun (gradual acclimation). Good light keeps the rosette compact and enhances the shades

  • Watering: infrequent; water only after the substrate is completely dry; minimal watering in winter

  • Temperature: 18–28°C; protect from cold and cold moisture

  • Substrate: very well-drained, predominantly mineral; pot with mandatory drainage

  • Attention: avoid frequent touching of the leaves (the bloom can be rubbed off and leave marks). The bloom is a fine, whitish, matte layer (like powder), naturally produced by the plant, which protects the leaves and gives them that “porcelain” look.

🌱 Secret Garden recommendation:

For proper drainage and healthy roots, use Secret Garden professional substrate for Cacti, Succulents & Adenium.

Advantages and uses:

  • The “porcelain” rosette, extremely photogenic, perfect for minimalist decor

  • Flowering with pink-red flowers that can become the plant’s focal point

  • Easy to integrate into succulent arrangements, small pots, and collections

📌 Note: The color of the rosette and flowers may vary depending on light, season, and growth rate. Slightly damaged leaves or fine marks on the bloom may appear after transport, without affecting the plant’s viability.

At the time of listing, all plants had buds or flowers – however, these may be lost before order processing.
