Full description and specifications

Graphorkis concolor var. alphabetica is an epiphytic orchid that is native to the Comoros, Seychelles (Silhouette), Madagascar, Réunion, Mauritius regions.

The plant has lanceolate, green leaves, which grow from a short and robust stem, similar to those of catasetines when the plant is in its specific winter rest.

The flowers are often a uniform greenish-yellow or golden-yellow with brown spots and appear in racemes (groups of flowers on the same stem), often with several flowers open at the same time. They are relatively small, but attractive, and intensely fragrant.

Regarding care, Graphorkis concolor var. alphabetica prefers a strong indirect light and appreciates an environment with above average humidity. Like other epiphytic orchids, this plant prefers a well-drained substrate, usually a mixture of pine bark and moss.

Watering should be done when the substrate starts to dry, but carefully, to avoid rotting of the roots. Fertilization can be done using a special fertilizer for orchids, applied at regular intervals, but in moderation.
