Full description and specifications

Ficus microcarpa Retusa is a species of plant in the genus Ficus, native to Southeast Asia and Australia. It is a popular indoor plant due to its dense leaves and compact growth. This species of ficus is often confused with Ficus retusa or Ficus ginseng, but they are all part of the same plant family, Moraceae.

The leaves are usually oval or elliptical, with slightly rounded tips. The foliage is dark green, offering a strong contrast to the lighter stems. The plant can grow both in the form of a shrub and a small tree, depending on the conditions of growth and care.

In its natural environment, Ficus microcarpa Retusa can reach heights of up to 20 meters, but inside homes or as bonsai, the dimensions are much smaller. As an indoor plant, it is relatively easy to maintain. It prefers indirect light and a well-drained soil. It is sensitive to sudden changes in temperature and humidity, so it is good to be placed in a stable place.
