Ferocactus townsendianus 'Brevispinus' is a distinctive form of the Ferocactus townsendianus species, appreciated for its globular body, strongly pronounced ribs, and shorter, finer spines than those of the typical form.

Native to the Baja California Peninsula (Mexico), this cactus impresses with its architectural appearance and slow growth, making it an excellent choice for collectors of cacti and succulents. As it matures, it develops a well-proportioned globular body, with pronounced vertical ribs and regularly arranged areoles from which decorative spines emerge.
