Elaeagnus ebbingei is an evergreen decorative shrub notable for its silvery, "dusty" looking leaves.
Flowers: It produces small, fragrant flowers in white or cream color, though these are generally not the main attraction of the plant.
Fruits: It bears edible fruits about the size of olives or cherries, ripening in early spring, usually at the end of March to the beginning of April. The fruits are flavorful and taste reminiscent of black cherries.
Hardiness: This is a very hardy plant, able to tolerate a wide range of soils and weather conditions, including drought. It withstands temperatures down to -15°C. It is recommended to plant it in areas sheltered from strong winter winds.
