Diospyros Kaki 'Vaniglia' - Kaki with vanilla aroma, without astringency

Diospyros Kaki 'Vaniglia' , popularly known as "vanilla kaki", is a variety appreciated for its sweet and aromatic fruits, with a slight hint of vanilla. The fruits are medium-sized, weighing up to 250 grams, of a very appetizing orange color, with creamy pulp and a fine texture when fully ripe, without astringency.

It is a small to medium-sized fruit tree, with moderate growth, which prefers sunny places and well-drained soils. It resists drought well and is relatively easy to maintain. The fruits can be eaten fresh or used in desserts. It is an excellent choice for gardens or orchards due to its tasty fruits, loaded with vitamins, but also because it is a rather decorative shrub.
