Cymbidium Enzan Knuckle 'Paulista' - spectaculos si parfumat

Cymbidium Enzan Knuckle is an interesting orchid hybrid, resulting from the cross between the botanical species Cymbidium tracyanum and the hybrid Cymbidium Signal.

• Registration: The hybrid was registered with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) in 1999 by the grower Mukoyama.

• Genetics and Appearance: This hybrid is genetically dominated by the species Cymbidium tracyanum (which contributes approximately 63.5% to its genetic background). This suggests that the plant inherits distinctive traits of this species, such as flower shape (often with slightly twisted or wavy petals) and specific stripe or spot patterns. Other species that contribute significantly are Cymbidium insigne (approx. 18%) and Cymbidium eburneum (approx. 9%).

It is a robust plant, appreciated by collectors for its exotic flowers, reminiscent of wild species but with the vigor of a hybrid.
