Clematis 'Comtesse de Bouchaud' is one of the most appreciated and floriferous varieties of large-flowered clematis. It is a vigorous climber with abundant and long-lasting blooms.
The plant can reach 2.5–3.5 m in height and clings to supports on its own. The flowers are large (10–15 cm in diameter), an elegant mauve-pink with darker veins and creamy stamens. They appear in successive waves from June to September, covering the plant in a pale pink cloud. It is a very generous and relatively easy-to-grow variety.
