Clematis 'Vicki' (Evipo0114) - Clematis 'VICKI' probably has the most beautiful flowers. Sharp petals of a pale pink, with a central stripe of vibrant pink and a crown of yellow-golden stamens in the center. A very compact climbing plant, with abundant flowering that repeats throughout the year. It can also be successfully grown in containers. The flower color changes completely from pale shades at opening to intense pink at flower maturity.

The size of the flowers varies between 10 and 15 cm.

Growing recommendations:

This type of clematis prefers good quality soil, rich in nutrients, moist but well drained. It is recommended to improve the soil with manure or compost at planting, if possible. In the case of growing in drier soils that tend to dry out quickly, cover the base with a layer of shredded bark (or another type of mulch) to retain soil moisture.

Clematis generally prefers a growing space with good sun exposure.

It is not necessary to remove the faded flowers of these clematis, but if they seem to have finished flowering earlier than expected, a light pruning will encourage new growth and a second flowering late in autumn.

In the cold season, the plants appear as leafless sticks that seem dry – this is perfectly normal and the plants are fully alive.
