Clematite - Clematis montana 'Elizabeth' (parfum de vanilie)

Also known as Clematis montana var. rubens 'Elizabeth'.

The clematis is one of the most striking climbing plants, being so beautiful that it will be hard to choose from the many splendid species, from those with huge flowers to those with small and delicate clusters. Plant it in a bright spot to enjoy the scent of vanilla.

Placement: sunny locations
Soil: well-drained earth covered at the roots with a layer of finely shredded bark to retain soil moisture
Characteristics: perennial plants that will sprout and bloom every year.

Note: The flower shade is influenced by growing conditions. Young specimens may bloom white at first.

Plants for garden or terrace are grown in unprotected spaces or with minimal protection (shade nets or hail nets). For this reason, naturally, they cannot have perfect foliage - leaves may show marks, defects, or other damage.

During the cold season, the plants enter dormancy, are pruned, and are leafless.
