Flower size: approx. 5-7 cm
Classification: Clematis macropetala
General cultivation advice for the alpine, chisanensis, koreana, macropetala species and their hybrids, that is, varieties with spring flowering and nodding bell-shaped flowers, all very hardy.
These plants do not require special growing conditions (fertilized soil, mineral-rich substrate) or deep planting, as preferred by large-flowered varieties. Due to their very fine root systems, they will not thrive in soils prone to waterlogging – they will be happier in poor soils with very good drainage. If needed, prune immediately after the main flowering.
