Classification : Clematis macropetala
General cultivation advice for the species alpina, chisanensis, koreana, macropetala and their hybrids , i.e. varieties with spring flowering, with flowers in the shape of inclined bells, all very resistant.
These plants do not require special growing conditions (fertilized soil, substrate rich in minerals) or deep planting, as the varieties with large flowers prefer. Due to their very fine root systems, they will not thrive in soils prone to water stagnation - they will be happier in poor soils with very good drainage. If necessary, prune immediately after the main flowering.
