Catasetum saccatum 'Beard' 

Catasetum saccatum is an interesting orchid that grows in tropical mountain forests in countries like Guyana, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Brazil.

Blooms mainly in the winter or spring season. The flowers are strongly fragrant and can reach sizes of up to 10 cm. They are known for one unusual thing: they can throw pollen up to 2.5 meters away from the plant.
