CAMELIA JAPONICA CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Plant development: Shrub, with a maximum height of 1.5 - 2 m Location: The camellia needs a lot of light but does not tolerate direct sunlight throughout the day. It is recommended to place it in cool, partially shaded but bright spaces, with constant humidity. In the climatic conditions of Romania, the plant withstands very well outdoors - provided it is planted in the garden, in a more protected place. It does NOT tolerate large temperature differences well (moved inside-outside, from hot to cold or vice versa)!
Soil: it prefers slightly acidic soil, but it also grows well in neutral soil - in the garden, this aspect can be improved by administering some sulfur supplements.
It can withstand temperatures of -18 degrees Celsius.
