Calamondin Oriana (Citrina) D12

Calamondin Oriana (Citrina) is a compact and highly productive variety of calamondin, valued both for its decorative appearance and its small, ornamental fruits. It is a hybrid between mandarin and kumquat, very suitable for growing in pots on terraces or balconies.

The plant has a compact and branched growth habit, with small, glossy, deep green leaves. The flowers are small, white, and very fragrant. The fruits are small, round, orange when ripe, with thin skin and juicy, very acidic, and aromatic pulp. Unlike other citrus fruits, calamondin blooms and bears fruit abundantly even when the plant is small.

• Substrate: special citrus soil, well-drained
• Fertilizing: regular feeding with citrus fertilizer during the growing season
• Pruning: light pruning to maintain compact shape

Uses: Calamondin is highly appreciated both as an ornamental plant and for its fruits. The small, decorative fruits can be used to prepare drinks (lemonades, cocktails), marmalade, sauces, or to flavor teas. Due to its small size and high productivity, it is one of the most suitable citrus plants for pot cultivation on terraces and balconies.
