Astrophytum myriostigma, also known as the "bishop's cactus," is a cactus native to the desert regions of Mexico.

It is valued for its cylindrical shape and its smooth surface, free of spines, which is covered with small white dots. This plant grows slowly and, under ideal conditions, can produce yellow flowers with a red center during the summer.
