Bonsai Zelkova (Ulmul Japonez)
The Zelkova bonsai is a popular bonsai, originating from Japan, belonging to the Elm family and also known as Zelkova Serrata. It is a small tree with a thick and strong trunk, thin branches, and small, oval, glossy leaves.
Bonsais require special attention and care to develop harmoniously, primarily because bonsais are essentially small trees "forced" to live in a pot. Since the amount of soil in which a bonsai must live is limited, it is necessary to check how often the small tree needs watering.
Placement: A bright spot, sheltered from strong sunlight. During the warm season, it can be kept outside or on terraces. Do not place near heat sources.
Fertilizing: Use a balanced bonsai fertilizer twice a month during the growing season.
Watering: Water every 3-4 days, depending on ambient temperature and placement.
Particularities: A sturdy bonsai, very easy to care for. The crown can be easily pruned to achieve the desired shape.
Delivered in a ceramic pot with saucer. The pot color may differ from the presentation photo.
