Bonsai Metasequoia (forest)
Metasequoia glyptostroboides, commonly known as Water Sequoia or Dawn Redwood, is one of the most appreciated trees used for bonsai due to its elegant appearance, vigorous growth, and fine foliage similar to conifers. As a bonsai, it retains the impressive charm of the original species while offering sizes suitable for terraces, balconies, or gardens.
Unlike most indoor bonsais, Metasequoia is an outdoor species that appreciates fresh air and the natural seasonal changes. Its light green foliage turns yellow-bronze in autumn before falling for the dormant period.
