Care:

1. Light: Amaryllis prefers strong indirect light, making it ideal to place near a sunny window. If planted in the garden, it should be positioned in a partly shaded spot to protect it from intense direct sunlight.

2. Watering: The plant requires moderate watering. During the growth period, the soil should be kept moist but not wet. It is important to avoid excess water to prevent bulb rot. During the resting period (after flowering), watering should be significantly reduced.

3. Soil: The ideal soil for Amaryllis is well-drained and rich in nutrients. A mix of potting soil with sand or perlite is recommended to ensure proper drainage.

4. Temperature: Amaryllis thrives at indoor temperatures between 18-24°C. In summer, it can be moved outdoors but must be brought inside before frost appears, as it does not tolerate temperatures below 10°C.

5. Fertilizing: During the growth period, the plant benefits from monthly feeding with a balanced fertilizer to encourage abundant flowering and healthy foliage.

6. Rest: Amaryllis requires a rest period of about 8-10 weeks after flowering. The leaves will dry out, and watering should be reduced to allow the bulb to recover. After this period, the plant can be returned to light and watered to stimulate new flowering.
