Very productive hazelnut - Corylus avellana 'Nottingham'

Corylus avellana 'Nottingham' is an early variety of hazelnut, cultivated for commercial purposes or in gardens for the harvest of edible fruits. It grows to a height of 3-4 meters and has a compact appearance, with a rich crown and glossy green leaves.

The Nottingham hazelnut stands out for the fact that it fruits early in the harvest season, compared to other common hazelnut varieties. Hazelnuts are above average in size and have a superior taste.

This variety is self-fertile, but production improves significantly when cross-pollinated with another variety.
