Vaccinium corymbosum 'Spartan' is an excellent variety of blueberry for the early season. Starting in July, it produces a large quantity of delicious fruit.
'Spartan' is partially self-fertile, but for the best results, plant it alongside 1 or 2 other blueberry varieties.

From a commercial standpoint, the Spartan Blueberry is considered one of the top varieties.

- requires acidic soil
- can reach a height of up to 1.2 m and a width of 0.9 m
- pruning: a younger bush needs fewer cuts than a bush over three years old.
