Gerbera is a remarkable plant due to its flowers of vibrant colors. There are about 40 species, spread from Africa, Madagascar, and all the way to tropical Asia and South America.

Gerbera care instructions
Placement: its blooming period is extended if placed in a bright but shaded spot; it can be planted in the garden
Moisture: water when the soil has dried and not with too much water
Substrate: neutral peat or a loose mixture
Propagation: in spring or autumn, by separating rooted shoots
Characteristics: Gerbera can bloom all year round, with short breaks from the time one row of flowers fades until new buds form. After the first bloom, let the plant rest lightly with moderate watering. About every 6 weeks, start applying liquid fertilizer once a week for abundant and long-lasting flowering.
