Viburnum opulus 'Roseum', also known by the common name "Snowball," is a highly valued ornamental shrub for its spectacular flowers and sturdy appearance. This variety of Viburnum is distinguished by its large, globe-shaped flowers that resemble snowballs, hence its common name. The flowers start pale green, turning to pure white as they mature, blooming abundantly in late spring or early summer.

The shrub can reach heights of up to 2-3 meters, growing relatively quickly with a dense, rounded shape. The leaves are dark green, oval to rounded, with toothed edges, and can take on shades of purplish red in autumn, adding extra colour to the landscape.

Besides its aesthetic value, Viburnum opulus 'Roseum' is also appreciated for its adaptability to a variety of growing conditions. It is resistant to most soil types, prefers partial sun or shade, and can tolerate very low temperatures.

This shrub does not produce fruit, unlike other varieties of Viburnum opulus, making it ideal for gardens where self-seeding is to be avoided.
