Green gooseberry - Ribes uva-crispa 'Invicta'

Ribes uva-crispa 'Invicta' is a cultivar developed to offer the highest possible fruit production and increased resistance to diseases and pests.

The fruits are large, green-yellow in color, with a fine texture and a sweet-sour taste. These fruits are appreciated for their delicious taste and are used both for fresh consumption and in various preparations, such as desserts, jams and drinks.

Ribes uva-crispa 'Invicta' prefers partially shaded, cooler locations. In the warm season, the plant appreciates additional irrigation. It grows upwards in the form of a vigorous bush, reaching up to 120 cm.

In terms of care, it is important to cut old branches and those that do not produce fruit, to allow the plant to develop and provide an optimal production.

The 'Invicta' gooseberry is not only tasty, but also nutritious, being rich in vitamins (especially vitamin C), minerals and antioxidants. Eating these fruits can bring benefits for general health, including supporting the immune system, preventing cardiovascular diseases and combating oxidative stress.

Self-fertile variety - does not require the planting of another specimen for pollination. It does not require special soil and is resistant to diseases and pests, being naturally considered "pest free". It withstands extreme temperatures, up to -35 °C
