Philodendron 'Narrow Escape' (Sawtooth)
Philodendron 'Narrow Escape' is part of the Araceae family, within the genus Philodendron there are almost 500 species. Philodendrons come from the tropical forests of Brazil and Paraguay. They are usually large and imposing plants. The name Philodendron comes from the Greek word "phileo" which means "to love" and dendron which means "tree".
Philodendron is included in the list of plants recognized for its air purifying qualities and, in addition, it does not require special care. The 1989 NASA study identified philodendron among the best plants for removing formaldehyde and improving air quality.

Location: Philodendron prefers a bright area, away from direct sunlight. However, it will also tolerate a darker area. The foliage will become greener if it is placed in a shadier area.
Watering: The soil must be neither too wet nor too dry. Water regularly, allowing the soil to partially dry between waterings. Make sure the pot has good drainage.
Soil: Philodendron prefers a nutrient-rich soil that retains moisture well.
Some leaves may have mechanical defects, but these do not affect the viability of the plant. Under conditions of optimal care, the new leaves will develop normally.
