Mentha suaveolens is an endemic species in Europe, especially the Mediterranean region . This variety is appreciated for its specific aroma, which also includes a note of apple-like aroma. It is a fantastic variety for lemonades, ice creams, cocktails and culinary preparations, but just like the other types of mint it has many medicinal properties.
It resists the cold just like the traditional varieties and is considered pest-free, the specific smell and the essential oils it contains being a good repellent.
