Gomesa radicans (Rchb.f.) M.W.Chase & N.H.Williams

Gomesa radicans - een miniatuur botanische soort behorend tot de onderfamilie Epidendroideae, stam Cymbidieae, onderstam Oncidiinae, beschreven door M.W.CHASE & N.H.WILLIAMS, Ann. Bot. (Oxford) 104: 398 (2009) en ook bekend onder de synoniemen Ornithophora quadricolor Barb. Rodr, toegekend in 1864, Ornithophora radicans (Rchb. F) Garray & Pabst., in 1951, Sigmatostalix radicans Rchb. F. in 1882. De soort werd beschreven door Robert Brown en genoemd ter ere van Dr. Bernardino Antonio Gomes, een Portugese arts en botanicus.

De soort Gomesa radicans is afkomstig uit Brazilië, voor het eerst verzameld nabij Porto Alegre in de staat Rio Grande do Sul, maar ook bekend uit de kustgebieden in de staten Santa Catarina.
