Compact lilac - Syringa vulgaris 'Josee' ('Morjos 060f') - very fragrant flowers, reblooming in summer
Syringa vulgaris 'Josee' - semi-dwarf variety, very compact, which usually grows in the form of a round bush that reaches a height of 180 cm. Abundant flowering, which repeats throughout the summer. The perfume of the flowers is incredibly pleasant, strong and persists throughout the day.
Unlike the well-known/common lilac in Romania ( Syringa josikaea or Hungarian lilac), this variety blooms much more abundantly, the entire bush being practically covered with flowers.
The flowers are smaller but appear in much larger numbers, and the contrast between the unopened buds and the open flowers is quite strong. The perfume is also delightful - sweet, strong, with specific floral notes.
This variety tends to rebloom freely during the summer.
Optimal location. The plant loves the direct sun - this aspect also contributes to the abundance of flowering, but the plant also adapts to partially shaded areas. Periodic irrigation is necessary in the first year after planting - until it develops a strong root system. It tolerates poor soils/lacking nutrients well. It can be fertilized with any generic fertilizer. Very resistant variety - it is not significantly affected by diseases or pests.
