Compact Lilac - Syringa vulgaris 'Josee' ('Morjos 060f') - very fragrant flowers, summer reblooming

Syringa vulgaris 'Josee' - a semi-dwarf variety, very compact, usually growing as a rounded bush reaching a height of 180 cm. Abundant flowering, repeated throughout the summer. The scent of the flowers is incredibly pleasant, strong, and lasts throughout the entire day.

Unlike the common lilac known in Romania (Syringa josikaea or Hungarian lilac), this variety blooms much more abundantly, with the entire bush practically covered in flowers.

The flowers are smaller but appear in much greater numbers, and the contrast between unopened buds and open flowers is quite striking. The scent is also delightful - sweet, strong, with specific floral notes.

This variety usually blooms again freely throughout the summer.

Optimal placement. The plant loves direct sunlight - this also contributes to the abundance of flowering, but it can adapt to partially shaded areas. Periodic watering is necessary in the first year after planting - until it develops a strong root system. It tolerates poor/nutrient-deficient soils well. It can be fertilized with any general fertilizer. A very hardy variety - not significantly affected by diseases or pests.
