Full description and specifications

Sansevieria is a plant native to Africa, Madagascar, and southern Asia, and grown in our country as a houseplant.

Care:

  1. Light: The plant prefers moderate indirect light, but can tolerate low light conditions. Avoid direct exposure to strong sunlight, which can burn the leaves.

  2. Watering: Sansevieria requires moderate watering. Allow the soil to dry completely between waterings. In winter, reduce watering to prevent root rot.

  3. Temperature: It does well in most temperature conditions in a typical home. Avoid exposure to temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius.

  4. Humidity: Does not require special humidity levels; can tolerate dry indoor air, but an occasional spray can help remove dust from the leaves.

  5. Fertilization: Fertilize the plant with a fertilizer for succulent plants during the growing season, spring and summer, once a month.

  6. Repotting: Repot only when the roots start to emerge from the pot, usually every 2-3 years.

Sansevieria is famous for converting CO2 into O2 at night. It is said that in an environment where there is no fresh air at all, if you have 6-8 Sansevieria plants per person, they will produce enough oxygen to live. NASA has placed it in the top of the plants that absorb toxins, especially nitrogen oxides and formaldehyde.
