Rhodohypoxis baurii
Rhodohypoxis baurii is a perennial plant that grows in clumps, with striking star-shaped flowers, having six petals, in shades of pink or red. Native to South Africa, it is ideal for summer gardens or as a potted plant. It prefers well-drained, acidic or neutral soils and direct sunlight. It can be propagated by seeds or division in late autumn.
Cold hardiness: down to -9°C.
It is recommended to plant in areas sheltered from strong wind or blizzards. It does not tolerate very wet soil during winter well. Prefers well-drained substrate or rock garden areas.
