Full description and specifications

Rebutia vulpina is a succulent plant from the Cactaceae family, native to the mountainous regions of Bolivia and Argentina. It is a small to moderate sized plant, which can reach a height of approximately 5-10 cm. This species of cactus is known for its spherical or cylindrical shape and for its bark covered with fine and often colored spines.

One of the distinguishing features of Rebutia vulpina is its ability to produce brightly colored flowers. The flowers generally appear at the base of the plant and can have various colors, from pink and orange to intense red. The flowering period varies, but it occurs most often in spring and early summer.

The plant prefers a well-drained soil and a moderate watering regime, letting the soil dry between waterings. It is well adapted to drought conditions, due to its ability to store water in its succulent tissues.

To maintain its compact shape and encourage flowering, it is recommended that Rebutia vulpina be exposed to direct sunlight or bright indirect light. However, it is good to avoid prolonged exposure to the strong summer sun, which could burn the plant.
