Plectranthus tomentosa is a perennial succulent plant from the Lamiaceae family, originally from South Africa. It is also known as "Vicks Plant" due to the strong menthol smell it emits when the leaves are touched or rubbed.

Plectranthus tomentosa is valued for its aromatic properties and is sometimes used in aromatherapy to help clear the airways or induce a state of relaxation.

Leaves : The leaves are thick, fleshy and covered with a fine down. They emit a strong smell similar to Vicks ointment, due to the essential oils they contain.

Flowers : The plant produces small flowers, usually purple or blue-lilac in color, but they are less remarkable than the aroma of the leaves.

Port : It is a compact plant, with a height that rarely exceeds 30-40 cm. It has a bush-like growth and can spread horizontally.

Aroma : The strong mentholated smell of the leaves is distinctive and can be used in aromatherapy.
