Magnolia 'Sunspire'

Magnolia 'Sunspire' is a columnar variety of magnolia, valued for its tall and narrow shape, offering an elegant solution for limited spaces in gardens or urban landscapes. This variety stands out for its ability to grow vertically, taking up less width, making it ideal to be planted as a solitary specimen or in rows to create natural barriers or vertical accents.

The flowers of Magnolia 'Sunspire' specimens are striking – large, cup-shaped, in shades of yellow-orange, sometimes with green and orange veins on the outer side of the petals. Blooming occurs in early spring, with flowers appearing before the leaves and adding a spectacular and bright contrast to the still dormant landscape.

The foliage is dark green, glossy, forming a dense and attractive background throughout the growing season. The leaves appear after the flowers have finished their display, maintaining the tree’s visual interest.

Magnolia 'Sunspire' is a late-blooming variety, towards the end of the season – thus the flowers are protected from late frosts.
