Magnolia 'George Henry Kern' H70 cm - fragrant flowers

Magnolia 'George Henry Kern' is a special hybrid shrub, resulting from the cross between Magnolia stellata and Magnolia liliiflora . It stands out for its fragrant, pale pink flowers with 8 petals, which appear in April and can continue until June, offering one of the longest flowering periods among deciduous magnolias. The leaves are fresh green, elliptical, and densely cover the shrub when it is in full season. It grows slowly, reaching a height of about 3-4 meters and a width of up to 2.5-3 meters, which makes it ideal for small gardens or containers on terraces. It prefers slightly acidic or neutral, well-drained soils, and a sunny or partially shaded position, protected from strong winds.
