Lonicera caerulea 'Zojka' - Siberian blueberry, Honey berries
Lonicera caerulea 'Zojka', also popularly called Siberian blueberry or honey berry. White flowers appear in May, followed by long, green fruits that turn blue when ripe, similar to blueberries, with a sweet-sour, aromatic taste, similar to honey.
Honeysuckle fruits are very rich in vitamin C and antioxidants - about 5 times richer than blueberries. The Siberian blueberry can grow in any garden, in full sun or partial shade, it can withstand temperatures of -25 degrees Celsius.
Lonicera caerulea 'Zojka' produces larger and sweeter fruits than other varieties. The first fruits ripen in May.
