Full description and specifications

Kiwi - Actinidia deliciosa 'Hayward' female - commercial variety, with very good resistance to frost and large fruit, with a long "shelf life", present in supermarkets. The weight of the ripe fruit varies between 100-130 grams.

It needs pollinators such as: Actinidia deliciosa 'Atlas', Actinidia deliciosa 'Tomuri'.

Frost resistance: up to -20 degrees, but it is recommended that the plant be protected in the first 2-3 years, until the stem lignifies/mature enough.

Cultivation recommendations: Cultivated on trellises/arches/fences, like a vine. We recommend you choose an area sheltered from the wind, preferably next to a wall/fence with southern exposure. Kiwi 'Hayward' appreciates heat and direct sun. The first cuts can be made 2 years after planting.

Fruit quality: the fruits are sweet (when fully ripe), slightly acidic, juicy, large in size. It presents a large "S shelf life", being the variety with the largest presence in supermarkets.

It does not require special soil and is resistant to diseases and pests, being naturally considered "pest free".

Height with pots included: approx. 40 cm. It varies depending on the season.
Pot size: 15cm

Note: in the cold season, the plants are in vegetative rest, shortened and sold without leaves.
