Kiwi - Actinidia deliciosa 'Atlas' (male pollinator) (D14cm)
Kiwi - Actinidia deliciosa 'Atlas' is a variety that is resistant to temperatures as low as -25 degrees Celsius.
Actinidia deliciosa 'Atlas' should be planted next to any Actinidia deliciosa variety (such as Hayward, Jenny, etc.) for superior pollination. Cross-pollination partially alters the appearance of the fruit and significantly improves yield, even in the case of self-fertile varieties.
Cultivation recommendations: Grow on trellises/arcades/fences, like a vine. We recommend choosing an area sheltered from the wind, preferably near a wall/fence with southern exposure. Actinidia deliciosa 'Atlas' appreciates heat and direct sun. The first cuttings can be made 2 years after planting, at the end of winter or immediately after harvest.
It does not require special soil (but prefers slightly acidic soil) and is resistant to diseases and pests, being considered naturally "pest free".
Height with pot included: approx. 40 cm. Varies depending on the season.
Pot size: 2 liters (D14cm)
Note: in the cold season, the plants are in vegetative dormancy, shortened and sold without leaves.
