Roselle can adapt to various soils in a warmer and more humid climate. Roselle is rich in organic acids, including citric, malic, tartaric, and allo-hydroxycitric acids. The plant is also known for beta-carotene, vitamin C, proteins, and total sugars. Roselle, containing various medically important compounds called phytochemicals, is well known for its nutritional and healing properties. Many parts of Roselle, including seeds, leaves, fruits, and roots, are used in various foods as well as in herbal medicine as a potential non-drug treatment. Different extracts from Roselle play a crucial role in treating various health issues, including many heart conditions, parasitic worm diseases, and cancer. The plant also acts as an antioxidant and is used in managing obesity.
