Edible laurel in pots D14
Laurus nobilis , also known as bay or laurel , is an aromatic perennial shrub or tree in the Lauraceae family, native to the Mediterranean regions. It is a plant with multiple uses – ornamental, culinary and medicinal – and is highly appreciated both in gardens and in pots, due to its dense foliage and elegant appearance.
🔹 Recommended growing conditions:
• Light: Prefers direct sun or bright partial shade . In overly shaded areas, growth becomes slow and foliage sparser.
• Soil: Fertile, well-drained, preferably slightly calcareous. It also tolerates poorer soils if they are aerated and do not retain excess water.
• Watering: Moderate. Water regularly in the warm season, but allow the soil to dry out partially between waterings. Reduce watering in the winter, especially for plants kept indoors.
• Temperature: Resistant to temperatures down to -5°C / -10°C , but in areas with harsh winters it is recommended to protect or keep in pots that can be moved. The plant prefers a Mediterranean climate, warm and dry.
• Fertilization: In spring and summer, a universal fertilizer can be administered once a month to stimulate leaf growth.
The height of the plant is measured along with the pot.
The decorative vase is not included in the price.
