Cultivation tips for Clematis tangutica varieties
In some more exotic countries, these wonderful plants are considered invasive and problematic, but in Europe this is not the case. Tangutica clematis are extremely useful in the garden, providing color and interest from mid-summer to late fall, most producing excellent seed heads for added interest in the winter months. They do well in warm, sunny situations and are drought tolerant, even in weaker conditions where you would think they would have difficulties. They will not tolerate very clay soils that are waterlogged, nor overflooding. They are very easy to grow and require minimal maintenance, with a simple cut. Avoid them becoming excessively wet in their first autumn and winter in the ground or, possibly, plant them in the spring.
Tangutica can be delayed in showing new shoots and growth in the spring, so don't panic and don't think they're dead, they're just sleeping more!

Height with ghiveci included: 50-65 cm (varies depending on the season)
Pot diameter: 14-17 cm

Plants for the garden or terrace are grown in unprotected spaces or with minimal protection (shading nets or anti-hail nets). For this reason, naturally, they cannot have perfect foliage - the leaves can show traces, defects or other damages.

In the autumn-winter season, the plants are sold without leaves.
