Citrus reticulata 'Clementine' - Clementin in ghiveci H70
Citrus reticulata 'Clementine' - the shrub whose fruit is known as Clementine, is a hybrid between a mandarin and a sweet orange, created by Clément Rodier, a famous French missionary in Algeria.
The fruit is very popular, medium-sized, sweet and very aromatic. It is also appreciated for its thin, easy-to-peel skin, and for its lack of seeds. Clementines are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, offering multiple health benefits. They grow well in warm areas, with full sun exposure, and require well-drained soil. The inflorescences appear more frequently in spring, and the fruits usually ripen in winter, providing an abundant harvest. These characteristics make them ideal for fresh consumption, but also for the preparation of juices and desserts.
