Full description and specifications

Alocasia reginula "Black Velvet Variegata" is a rare and impressive variety of the Alocasia reginula species. It is known for its compact, heart-shaped leaves, which have a velvety texture. What distinguishes it from the original "Black Velvet" form is the variegation or modeling with various shades of green and cream, which adds a spectacular contrast to the almost black color of the leaves.

This tropical plant is native to Southeast Asia and prefers well-drained soil, high humidity and strong indirect light. Because of its variegated leaves, this variety may require a higher amount of light than its non-variegated form to maintain the multicolored appearance of the leaves.

Watering should be done in moderation; the soil must be allowed to partially dry between waterings to prevent root rot. Fertilization is best done during the growing season, with a balanced fertilizer, but in moderation.

Note: Alocasia is a sensitive plant. Therefore, it is possible to receive these plants with some defects on the leaves, but these do not affect the viability of the plant.

The decorative bowl is not included in the price.
