Phoenix canariensis is a palm tree from the same family as the persimmon. Originally from the Canary Islands, it also grows naturally in West Africa, in the Arab countries and in the Mediterranean lands.
The phoenix is a light-loving plant, and after adaptation it can be exposed to direct sunlight. For a balanced growth, it is recommended to periodically turn the pot by 90 degrees.
