Wisteria floribunda or sinensis (wisteria) is a very popular climbing shrub, native to Japan, China, Korea and eastern USA.
There are two species of wisteria that are grown in the garden:
- wisteria sinensis is vigorous and suitable only for covering large surfaces. It produces flowers before the leaves appear.
- wisteria floribunda is more compact and more suitable for its cultivation in smaller areas. It produces flowers and leaves almost at the same time.
Care instructions:
Fertilization: In the spring, fertilize the wisteria with a fertilizer rich in potassium.
Location: sunny place, where it receives at least 6 hours of sunlight daily.
Flowering period: produces very fragrant flowers in spring.
Temperature: withstand temperatures of -30 degrees Celsius.
Soil: slightly acidic, well drained.
Pot diameter: 14 cm
Height with pots included: 60-65 cm
